‘Twas the night before Halloween, on a dark and stormy Wednesday evening, when Brook and Shawn chose to say "forever." The rain poured relentlessly, drumming against the earth and setting the scene for their perfectly moody elopement on Halloween Eve.
As Brook, Shawn, and their loved ones arrived, they dashed through the rain to the cabin to begin preparations while others worked to ready the conservatory. The storm seemed to mirror the intensity and beauty of the moment—a fitting backdrop for a day so full of meaning.
Brook slipped into her stunning black, sparkly dress, her daughter and sister donning rich royal hues of green and red. Her cascading bouquet was a striking complement to the deep tones, and the velvet red shoes added a perfect touch of drama to her ensemble.
When it was time for the ceremony, the kids walked both Brook and Shawn into a space aglow with the warm flicker of countless candles. It was intimate, atmospheric, and utterly magical. Shawn wore velvet red, a detail lovingly curated by Brook, and the children stood with them as they exchanged heartfelt vows, leaving not a dry eye in the room.
Before placing the rings, each guest had the opportunity to hold them, infusing them with good energy and blessings for Brook and Shawn’s journey ahead. With a kiss that sealed their promises, they became forever entwined.
We celebrated with a toast, a slice of cake, and, just as if the rain gods had granted their blessing, a brief break in the storm allowed us to wander outside for a few enchanting couple’s photos.
