On a beautiful June day, Lauren and Luke celebrated their love at Iris Aisle surrounded by all of their loved ones.

We first met Lauren, Luke and their family the year before their wedding day, when we were still in the process of building Iris Aisle. Even though we hardly had any windows installed yet in the Conservatory, they knew that this would be the place for them. We were so excited and honored by their trust in our vision for what our place would become, and we worked hard to get the space ready to host their large party.

Their summer wedding day began with Lauren and her bridesmaids getting ready inside the Couple’s Cabin. The guys, who had brought their own tent to get ready in, were tucked away back in our cedar grove.

Lauren’s family knew exactly how to decorate this beautiful space. They draped soft cheesecloth inside and outside of the Conservatory, laid down some vintage rugs, and Lauren’s sister made them a beautiful macramé backdrop for the ceremony. I especially loved the little details on their welcome table, the cones of flower petals held by an old bed spring, and the little bookcase to hold guests’ shoes while they danced at the reception.

When we watched Lauren enter the Conservatory for the ceremony, we saw our dream of this space coming alive right in front of us for the very first time, and I would be lying if I didn’t say we had happy tears flowing down our cheeks. All our hard work and long nights building Iris Aisle, down to the smallest detail, was paying off.

After the ceremony, Lauren and Luke roamed around the property for portriats with their photographer, Heather, who photographed them so beautifully. They rejoined guests for dinner as everyone gathered around the farm tables in the woods. The party was just getting started and their DJ had the Conservatory all lit up with colorful lights. It looked like a disco ball as the lights bounced outside of the windows and into the night sky.

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to have had these two as our very first large wedding. We adored their family and friends and will never forget the feeling of watching their dream for their wedding day and our dream for our venue come to life together in one beautiful night.
